Mastercard® SecureCode™ is a service provided by Mastercard and your card issuer which allows for added security and protection against unauthorized use of your credit or debit card while shopping on the Internet. There is no need to take out a new Mastercard or Maestro® card, simply ask your card issuer to enrol your card in the SecureCode™ program and choose a Mastercard SecureCode that is never shared with the merchant.
Each time you shop online with your Mastercard or Maestro card, a window from your card issuer will open asking you to enter your personal SecureCode. The process is similar to ATM transactions when you need to enter your PIN number. In a matter of seconds the issuing bank confirms your identity and approves your purchase.
